Systems, Product Codes & Recommended Device Weights - A General Overview

The RAM mount product range falls into distinct groups or 'systems'. Each system is designed for a specific purpose depending on the application and takes into consideration how and where a device is to be mounted, the weight of the device and the operating environment.

Systems are further divided into individual components, kits of components that are frequently used together and complete mounting solutions for domestic and industrial applications.

The information below will help you to understand how the product codes relate to some of the most common mounting solutions and how the codes are further broken down to identify products.

Systems

The table below shows the various mounting systems available. The system code is the prefix used in all product codes.

Product Codes for RAM Ball and Socket Systems

RAM ball and socket systems generally comprise of a mounting base, a double socket arm and a device base or a device holder. The correct mounting solution will depend on the weight of the device and the operating environment (e.g vibration) and the product code will identify various options. System and Part Code are always specified in the same sequence and letters or numbers following the Part Code identify options and variations (when available) in the following format:
[ System ] - [ Part Code ] - [ xxx ] - [ xxx ] - [ xxx ]
