To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.

Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The RAP-AAP-162U consists of the RAM Wedge adapter for flush mount rod holders, paired with the Adapt-A-Post™ spline receiver. This base provides a great way to mount any RAM post/spline fishing rod holders and extention arms in a low-profile fashion, with a quick disconnect feature. Simply slide the wedge into the round opening of your flush mount rod holder and tighten the screw to secure the wedge. The wedge expands to accommodate openings with an inner diameter of 1 1/2" to 1 7/8". Once installed, you have a secure mounting point. Whether you are trying to get your rod and reel up off the deck to avoid salt spray, need more versatility in rod holder placement, or simply need another mounting position and don't want to drill holes, this is your perfect solution.
