To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.

Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The RAM composite glareshield/yoke mount is ideally suited for a day on the wing and yet easily removed for travel in the flight bag. Both strong and lightweight, this new clamping base is perfect for numerous electronic devices commonly found in the cockpit. Modular in design, switch out the clamps for a perfect fit no matter what the mounting surface, or add a second ball to mount another device; brilliant. Crafted to hold firm to most glare shields, yokes, or tubing, practically any aircraft can benefit from this product. Simple to use and exceptionally versatile, RAM has created another “must have” for any pilot. Once you've had a chance to use this great little device, we’re confident you'll find uses for it no matter what you fly, drive, or ride. With everything you get in this package, you may even find yourself using your new RAM Mount on a golf cart, work bench, or even exercise equipment. With RAM, there are no limits. The composite glareshield/yoke mount will fit a rail or edge lip from 5/8" to a maximum of 1 1/4". The mounting base can also accept a second ball (RAP-B-121BBU) giving you the ultimate double ball base. To mount the base, simply place the clamp ends around the rail and then screw the large knob at the end of the threaded rod. The hand tightened clamp makes this the perfect mounting system for rental planes, golf buggies or unusual shaped motorbike rails.
