"RAM" Prefix Code

To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.

"RAP" Prefix Code

Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The weight limits below are a guide only. All factors in a planned mounting configuration should be considered to choose the most suitable ball size.

The RAM® USB-C Powered Dock with NFC Extender for Samsung Tab Active5 & Tab Active3 (RAM-HOL-SAM60CP-NFCU) was thoughtfully designed to meet the demands of commercial truck drivers, field service technicians, pupil transporters, logistics managers, forklift operators, and more. The NFC repeater acts as an extension of the NFC reader on the back of the Tab Active5 & 3 giving end users easier access to the scanning function. With easier access to the NFC reader, tablet operators no longer need to remove the device from it's docking station to scan — simply install the repeater on your docking station and give easy access to programs like Tap To Pay, asset tracking, time management, and more. The repeater extends to 30cm in length and installs on the back of the dock, directly behind the device's NFC reader. Power capabilities through the dock are provided to the device through pogo pin technology, taking advantage of the Tab Active5 & 3's pogo pad docking contacts—simply dock the device and the pogo pins match the pattern of the pogo pads for a seamless charging experience. This dock is also compatible with the RAM® Skin™ or factory device skin, as well as GDS® Hand-Stand™ and shoulder strap accessories. Access to the stylus remains while the device is docked. Included is a set of four nuts and bolts to connect the dock to any RAM® components containing the universal AMPS hole pattern. Cable clamps and zip ties are also included for cable rentention.
