"RAM" Prefix Code

To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.

"RAP" Prefix Code

Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The weight limits below are a guide only. All factors in a planned mounting configuration should be considered to choose the most suitable ball size.

The most common ball size applications:

B Size - Action Cameras, Phones and Small Tablets
C Size - Medium - Large Tablets in Heavier Duty Applications
D Size - Heavy and Rugged Tablets and Laptops in Commercial Applications

The RAM-HOL-AP8DU consists of a high strength composite cradle, patent pending roller design and patent pending Uni-Conn™ docking connector for the Apple iPad 1. The Uni-Conn™ docking connector enables the use of the factory iPad cables with docking connector for charging as well as other functions. Also works with most aftermarket cables and or modules with docking connectors. With the vast variety of available cable/docking connector accessories for the iPad you can quickly dock your iPad for charging, line out audio, external GPS antenna and much more. The patent pending roller design allows for smooth placement and removal of the iPad, while keeping it secure while on the go. Multiple AMPs hole patterns found on the back of the cradle make it convenient for attaching various mounts for perfect articulation and viewing angles. Compatible and interchangeable with a wide range of popular RAM Mounting products, this cradle is ready to compliment your iPad and become the most useful accessory in your vehicle. Included is a set of four nuts and bolts to connect the cradle to any RAM components or mounts that contain the universal AMPs hole pattern.
