To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.

Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The RAM® Spine Clip Garmin Mount with Medium Torque™ Base (RAM-B-408-75-1-GA76U) is a rugged, quick-install kit designed to secure Garmin devices to rails. The Garmin spine adapter easily clips into the integrated spine connection on a wide variety of Garmin devices, see compatibility tab for full list. The RAM® Torque™ mounting base is compatible with rails 3/4” to 1” in diameter. Sizing inserts are included to provide a tight fit while also protecting the mounting surface. The RAM® Torque™ mounting base also includes nylon-insert lock nuts to prevent loosening in high vibration environments. The RAM® ball and socket system allows for articulation at both ends of the double socket arm creating almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles.
