"RAM" Prefix Code
To provide lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, RAM is made of marine grade Aluminium with a black powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware and 'rubber balls' - 'RAM' products are stiffer and stronger than their 'RAP' variants and typically used in more rugged applications.
"RAP" Prefix Code
Many of our 'RAM' products are available in a 'RAP' - composite variant. Our composite 'RAP' products are generally designed for lighter duty applications where keeping the weight of the mount low is a priority.

The weight limits below are a guide only. All factors in a planned mounting configuration should be considered to choose the most suitable ball size.

B Size - Action Cameras, Phones and Small Tablets
C Size - Medium - Large Tablets in Heavier Duty Applications
D Size - Heavy and Rugged Tablets and Laptops in Commercial Applications

The RAM® Safe-Case™ for Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro) & mini 6 (RAM-TE-AP36) is a rugged, modular enclosure designed for high-security environments. Built from durable two-piece steel, this key-locking tablet case protects against theft, tampering, and tough environmental conditions—ideal for demanding field or industrial applications. Custom-fit for the Apple iPad mini, the Safe-Case™ features precision cutouts for full access to the device’s lock button, USB-C port, and rear camera. Ventilation slots and speaker openings maintain device functionality without compromising protection. The enclosure features versatile mounting options with integrated hole patterns for flush mounting, compatibility with RAM® double ball mounts, or 75x75mm VESA stands. For added docking functionality, the Safe-Case™ supports the installation of a GDS® Uni-Conn™ button—enabling rear pogo pin charging when paired with any compatible GDS® dock (look for the octagon icon on product listings).
