Prices on our website include Value Added Tax (VAT) currently charged at 20%.
In the following cases VAT will not be charged:
When goods are delivered to a private individual in the Channel Islands or a country that is not a member state of the EC.
When goods are delivered to a VAT registered company in an EC member state outside the UK.
When you go to the checkout to place an order you will be asked to create an account and your shipping address will be used to calculate prices including or excluding VAT. If you are a VAT registered company in a member state of the EC outside the UK, you can enter your company name and VAT number which will be checked on-line.
When you place an order with us you will receive an acknowledgement by email with a link where you can follow the progress of your order online.
Every time your order status changes, an Email will be sent to you inviting you to log in to your account. This information is available online, enabling you to check your account from any Internet connection at any time.
We use a set of standard order status updates which are explained below.
Order Received - Thank You - this is an automated message sent when your order and credit card payment is received.
Order In Progress - this lets you know that your order has been downloaded from our secure server and is now being processed by our staff. Payment details will be checked, in stock items will be picked ready for despatch, out of stock items will be placed on back-order.
Awaiting Purchase Order - you selected an option at the checkout which requires an official purchase order before we can proceed. Purchase orders should be faxed to 020 8893 8439.
Awaiting Payment - you selected an option at the checkout which requires a cheque, postal order or bank transfer payment before we can proceed. An Invoice will be emailed detailing the full amount to be paid together with payment instructions.
Cheque Received Awaiting Clearance - this lets you know that your cheque has arrived and we are waiting for it to clear at the bank before we despatch your order. Cheque clearance normally takes up to 5 working days.
Order Part Despatched - this lets you know that part of your order has been despatched and that the balance will be despatched separately.
Order Despatched & Complete - this lets you know that your order or the balance of your order has been despatched and that your order is complete.
In addition, where we have specific information for you, this is included when your order status is updated.
Other information we provide includes the courier and consignment number of all orders when despatched, enabling you to track your consignment's progress to your door.
